![]() It's still good and what made the company viable. I've been a fan of MIK for getting key values and have bought it for a few iterations. A software company keeping an active forum for users to post their issues and questions is a standard for knowing that the company is open to feedback and finding issues. But, nothing newer that's already loud.Īdditionally, MIK has closed it's forums. Maybe, MAYBE, I'd process some older tracks with lower overall loudness. It's fine, but I wouldn't start processing all my tracks through it for no reason. I've got iZotope RX and Ozone 7, and have created a PN preset based on the compressor/expander settings I've seen in screenshots. Pro software like iZotope RX allows a user to do this, but unaware new DJ's aren't using $1000 software that pro audio engineers are using to fix material they're buying PN because it says it makes songs sound better in a single click. The fact that PN even allows the user to do this is a big red flag. It doesn't matter if you put it through some special filters and try to enhance it, it's still not going to be as good as the original. ![]() Anyone who's making audio software should know that transcoding/decoding a low bitrate file to a higher bitrate file for processing, then back to low bitrate is like making a photocopy of a photocopy. ![]() ![]() For one, it's user guide is (essentially) "try out some different settings and see what sounds best to you".Īlso. I've considered it a few times, but it really has some serious design flaws. ![]()
